So, now you’ve got your location, and money-spending plan in place, it’s time to book your flight! This is always going to be one of your biggest expenditures on any surf trip, but getting it locked in place early is an epic feeling. This way, you know the trip is definitely happening and that big cost is handled early.  

There have been a number of studies done on how and when to book the cheapest flights, but generally speaking, six weeks before the trip on a Tuesday using Skyscanner seems to be the best formula I’ve found. I always use Skyscanner or Kayak Flights. 

It’s a great feeling to have that flight booked because you’ve done it! You’re going on your trip! Now it’s time to start saving some more, putting as much cash away as possible, and starting to look at where you want to stay.
